Build Your Own PC Classes Plus Prizes Galore

Posted on 02 April 2010 by jjkomplett in News

Hey folks, we’ve another round of Build Your Own PC classes coming up on 17 April with more set to follow. As regular readers will know these classes are aimed at people who have always thought it’d be a good idea to upgrade or put together their own PC, but until now haven’t quite got around to learning about the ins and outs of the whole process.

Learn how to put a PC together, or send your mates our way and win some shiny prizes.

Now, we’re aware that quite a lot of our readership on the KomplettBlog and over on our Boards forums are fairly seasoned at PC builds so these classes may not be what they’re after. However, we also know that those same people love a few freebies so with this in mind we have five prizes to give away for the people who send us the most referrals for our next set of classes.

The five people who send the most BYOPC students our way over the coming weeks will receive goodie bags that include a copy of ‘Colin McRae: Dirt 2’; a very shiny, very nice thermos with a big Intel logo on it; a funky Intel keyring; and a motion powered calculator.

To win some of that goodness, just tell your mates/family/work friends/random strangers to send an email expressing their interest in the classes to business.ie@komplett.com, with a subject line of ‘Build Your Own PC Classes’, and ask them to make sure and include their phone number as well as, all importantly, the name of the person who told them about the classes in the first place.

Our previous round of classes on 27 March were a roaring success with our four teachers getting rave reviews from the 60 students in attendance. Costing €20 a head, the next classes on 17 April will once again be at the Crown Plaza Hotel in Blanchardstown and all you’ll need to bring along is a pen and paper, though if you do have any upgrading you’d like to get done feel free to bring along the components (and your PC).

For those beginners who want to go to the class themselves of course, you can express an interest by simply leaving a comment below, or hitting us up on our Boards.ie forum, or on Twitter, or by dropping an email to business.ie@komplett.com.

[...] The fact is that building your own home theatre PC (or HTPC) isn’t as difficult as many might consider it to be, but when you get right down to it, there will be plenty scared off the idea by the fact that they have to actually sit down and assemble their own PC to do it; it’s a process that many simply aren’t comfortable with (indeed, that’s the reason we’re currently running a series of Build Your Own PC classes).
