Hey there all, hope we find you well this afternoon. Last summer we ran a series of classes to teach people how to build their own PCs as a kind of a trial run for something a bit bigger.

Our last build your own PC class went really well
We’re now launching a much bigger Build Your Own PC class, which will be for up to 60 people split into four groups of 15 to be taught by one teacher. They’re ideal for any of you who’ve thought it’d be a good idea to upgrade or put together your own PC, but until now have been shy about the whole process.
You don’t have to bring anything bar your own good self, a pen and some paper, though if you do have any upgrading you’d like to get done feel free to bring along the components (and your PC) and we’ll be happy to show you how to add and subtract the relevant bits from your machine during the class
The classes will begin with theory, talking about the different components and the critical questions of performance and compatibility when configuring your rig. The second phase will be practical and hands-on with some real components, and we’ll round off the class with a Q&A session. In all two hours of your time.
Since this is going to be a bigger class, we’ll be running it in the Crown Plaza Hotel in Blanchardstown on March 27th from 1pm to 3pm and the price for anyone who wants to attend will be €20 (this isn’t us trying to make a profit, it’s to pay the teachers for the class and the price of the room).
Compared to the price differences in building your own PC versus buying it from a store or a Dell/Alienware of this world, or the prices being charged by companies for upgrading simple components in PC’s, we think that €20 is a fair and reasonable price, and will save you a lot more in the long run.
Fingers crossed we’ll see a few of your guys there and you’ll all learn something you can actually use and that will save you money. As we said above, it’s not remarkably difficult stuff, it’s just a matter of having someone show you the ropes.
Note
If you already have computer components that you would like to add to your PC, bring them with you and we’ll be happy to show you how to do it! You can express an interest by dropping an email to byopc@komplett.ie. For more information
