LG are busy bees at IFA this year, unveiling a host of shiny new gear.

LG has its first Plasma 3D set on hand at the show called the PX990. The set has active 3D tech and is the first set in the world to carry 3D THX certification.

Not content with that, LG is also showing off its existing 3D Blu-ray player, the BX58, as well as its new LE4900 and LD490 sets, which come with integrated Freeview HD tuners.

The LE4900 uses edge lit LED backlighting, supports full 1080p resolution, and has integrated NetCast broadband TV.

The set is DLNA ready and has a 2,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio. It will come in 32-inch, 37-inch, and 42-inch sizes starting this month.

The star of the show, the PX990 comes with Bluetooth, 5,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, NetCast with a wireless broadband dongle, and it will come in 50″ and 60″ sizes starting in October.

No word on pricing yet, but the PX990, to this eye at least, looks expensive!
